Thanksgiving trip Nashville

Our trip to Nashville was very fun and exciting.  Mostly we just visited with Grandaddy and Uncle Edward.  These are pictures I took while we were there.

And one day Mamma took the three oldest girls to the mall to do some shopping.  We got to try on funny shoes and ride on an escalator.

One morning we went swimming in the hotel pool.

There was a hot tub and a pool.  This is the Hot tub before it heated up.

Every one enjoyed playing with the toys.

And there probably wasn't a single person who didn't dress up GIJoe at least once.

This was a Nine story hotel and this was the view from the stairway from floor eight.

The view from the elevator.

The elevator was glass which was very fun.

Our cousin on Daddy's side came over for supper one night.

                 I love Nashville!!!

Thanksgiving is coming Closer

Well Hello to Winter, Snow, cold weather!  I can't wait for a snow deep enough to sled in.

Summer was fun but it is past and gone.

Welcome FALL!

Every day now we have an hour called Quiet Time.
People are aloud to listen to audio if they use ear phones.  These are  pictures  from today's Quiet Hour.

Cold weather!

At last!  A little bit of cold weather.  We had about 1/5 of an inch of snow on Thursday but it melted almost immediately.  It was still fun to do a little bit of sledding.  I can't wait for more.

Horse Lessons

Horse Back Riding Lessons!  Horses are very enjoyable.  The barn where we are learning to ride has just three horses right now, but the funny thing is the biggest horse who is almost a pony because he is so small has a shoulder injury and he is a laid back horse so he never goes very fast.  His name is Bullet.  The next biggest is Coal but he is not broken yet.  The smallest, the pony, is a naughty little fireball but he is my favorite.  He is white with a grey strip down his back.   His name is Bob  Here are a couple of pictures from different lessons.

Me on Bob

You can sort of tell in the picture above that Bob is being a little bit naughty.  Finally he went to far and our teacher had to get on him to show him who was boss.

Moses turns Ten

On September 27th Moses turned ten.  He got Horse Back Riding Lessons for a present.  Since Lizzie and I have already been taking them Mamma let Moses and Noah join us on Friday on the horse farm where you will hear about in my next post.    Daddy had a birthday recently too.

Goodbye Billy and Pee-wee

I never thought the day would come where we would have to part with are sweet pot bellied pigs.  We just couldn't keep them in there pen.  We were sort of in hot water with the neighbors about the pigs rooting up there yards.  This morning we got a visit from a neighbor that wasn't very happy.  The pigs had ruined his yard.  Some neighbors own a horse farm down the road and they kindly bought them for us.  We were sad to see them go but it was a big weight off our backs, plus we can see them whenever we visit them.  Also, soon after the pigs were sold an animal control man stopped by. I ansered the door and he said some neighbors had complained about two black pot bellied pigs rooting up there yard.  I hesitated before answering but before I could he asked, "Don't you have two pigs?"  No.  He looked surprised and said "What?"  I answered we had sold them this morning and it all made since to him.  He was very nice.  Well, the goats hooves got trimed today and we are thankful for that.  Until next time I hoped you enjoyed reading this post.

Thank-you for following my blog!
